Job Summary:

Dixie Metal Products, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Steel Detailer/Checker to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our shop drawings and erection plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed shop drawings and erection plans with precision and accuracy.
  • Review and assess current work to ensure adherence to AISC, AWS, and NISD standards.
  • Communicate project details to management and stakeholders.
  • Revise, update, and retain ongoing projects and repeat designs with necessary alterations.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and understand contract drawings, standard specifications, standard drawings, and shop drawings.
  • Detailing experience with knowledge of Auto CAD and AISC standards.
