Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for both direct and indirect patient care, including scrubbing for diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as hemodynamic monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrubbing for diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.
  • Monitoring and documenting procedures in the hemodynamic system.
  • Educating patients and their families about the technical aspects of procedures.
  • Assisting in the ordering of supplies and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of two years in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures Lab is preferred.

Education: Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist program or an accredited educational program in radiology.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • If Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS): Required within six months.
  • If Radiologic Technologist: Certification through the Texas Medical Board and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required upon hire.
  • BLS and ACLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy.

This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
