Position Summary

We are currently seeking an Automation Process Engineer to join our Operations Development team. This role is pivotal in driving business growth and enhancing operational efficiency as part of our strategic objectives. Our mission is to ensure reliable access to electricity, a fundamental need for communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Operational Excellence team to foster continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Engage with factory management and production teams to design, develop, and refine processes, equipment, and tools.
  • Serve as a bridge between product design engineering and production, facilitating the implementation of new solutions and optimizing data collection for operational analysis.

Essential Duties

  • Assess current processes and innovate new methods to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Create programming codes and develop dashboards for operational oversight.
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure software and hardware compatibility with existing systems.
  • Utilize technology to integrate diverse data sources, including production, design, and financial metrics.
  • Revise and enhance manufacturing data collection procedures.
  • Implement and control improvements through defined metrics and analysis.
  • Identify and execute manufacturing enhancement projects, establishing objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
  • Provide management with updates on project progress and the return on investment (ROI) for implemented processes.
  • Occasional travel may be required for data collection and project meetings.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analysis, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PowerBI for data automation and analysis.
  • Experience in developing solutions using PowerApps and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for process automation.
  • Programming skills in Python or similar languages.

Experience Requirements

  • Basic understanding of ERP systems; familiarity with D365 is advantageous.
  • At least one year of relevant experience or internships focusing on similar responsibilities.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
