Lead Process Engineer

BWXT is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to join its Advanced Technologies team in Lynchburg, VA. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a production-scale fuel processing facility to support BWXT's manufacturing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical processing of inorganic materials, with experience in process equipment sizing, selection, and specification. You will also have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and lead a team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing process flow diagrams (PFD), process instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and system layout plans.
  • Performing process equipment sizing, selection, specifications, and supporting operations organization with installation and start-up commissioning.
  • Leading a team to develop and implement a production-scale fuel processing facility.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics, with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may substitute for years of experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are required, with the ability to multi-task and lead a team.
