Job Summary

This is a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in our Gastrointestinal (GI) Clinic. The successful candidate will provide direct care to patients, including IV therapy, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients, including IV therapy, under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Assist with assigned duties and interact with other personnel as needed.
  • Demonstrate professional responsibilities and maintain own practice.
  • Participate in education and training to maintain current clinical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • IV therapy credentials.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and delegation skills.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Physical and Environmental Demands

This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases.
