We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NICU Team Lead Nurse to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Practice and Quality: You will be responsible for taking patient assignments, demonstrating clinical expertise, and using the nursing process to provide safe and appropriate patient care. You will also be expected to lead quality improvement activities and promote a culture of excellence in patient care.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration, and ensuring that all team members are working together effectively to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Customer Satisfaction: You will be responsible for ensuring that patients and families receive exceptional care and service, and for promoting a positive and supportive environment in the NICU.
  • Supervisory Duties: You will be responsible for supervising and training staff, providing feedback and coaching, and ensuring that all team members are meeting their performance expectations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of neonatal experience, with NICU experience required
  • Certifications: Current State of Connecticut Registered Licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR in adult, child, and infant, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires occasional off-shifts, including weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays. You will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, and to lift and transport equipment as needed.
