Job Title: NICU Team Lead Nurse

At Connecticut Children's, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NICU Team Lead Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our neonatal intensive care unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of nurses, and contributing to the development of our unit's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns and their families, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Lead a team of nurses in the NICU, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality patient care and a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement unit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in neonatal care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in neonatal intensive care, with a focus on leadership and management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of neonatal care principles, including respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological care.
