About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NICU Team Lead Nurse to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our neonatal intensive care unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients in the NICU, demonstrating clinical expertise and using the nursing process to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Lead and mentor a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care and a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Identify and address clinical issues, promoting quality improvement and best practices in patient care.
  • Supervise and train employees, fostering employee development and performance management.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding of new staff, ensuring a smooth transition and effective integration into the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Minimum of two years of neonatal experience.
  • NICU experience required.
  • Current State of Connecticut Registered Licensure.
  • Current Basic life support (BLS)/CPR in adult, child, and infant.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
