Position Title: Recreation Rehabilitation Specialist

The Commonwealth of Virginia is in search of a dedicated Recreation Rehabilitation Specialist to facilitate engaging Recreational Therapy group sessions and tailored therapeutic activities for individuals facing significant mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges, as well as those with intellectual disabilities. This position entails the responsibility of implementing and documenting progress within the electronic health record system.

  • Standard working hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Essential Qualifications: Proven experience in organizing and delivering Rehabilitative Services.

Preferred Qualifications: A degree in Recreation, Arts, Music, or a related discipline from an accredited institution; or a comparable combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in providing both group and individual therapeutic activities to specialized populations, focusing on recreational, social, wellness, or leisure services.
