Position Title: Recreation Rehabilitation Specialist
The Commonwealth of Virginia is in search of a skilled Recreation Rehabilitation Specialist to facilitate engaging Recreational Therapy group sessions and tailored therapeutic activities for individuals facing significant mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges, along with intellectual disabilities. This position also requires the documentation and monitoring of participant progress within the electronic health record system.
- Scheduled work hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Essential Qualifications: Proven experience in organizing and delivering Rehabilitative Services.
Preferred Qualifications: A degree in Recreation, Arts, Music, or a related discipline from an accredited institution; or a comparable combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in providing both group and individual therapeutic activities to specialized populations, focusing on recreational, social, wellness, or leisure services.
