Job Summary:

The Novartis Group of Companies is seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead the Oncology portfolio sales team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a team of sales specialists, and developing strategic plans to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Management: Accountable for the performance of the allocated team, striving to exceed agreed sales and market share targets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, direct, develop, train, and coach the sales team to deliver performance targets.
  • Strategic Planning: Communicate the sales force strategy and objectives to the field force team and translate it into local implementation plans to achieve desired targets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with key accounts, marketing/product managers, and medical advisers to secure strategy implementation and operational plans for products.
  • Market Share Growth: Accountable for maintaining growth of market share in respective regions for respective products.
  • Business Development: Identify and implement business-building opportunities to support volume and market share growth.
  • Product Knowledge: Keep abreast of the latest scientific developments in the assigned therapeutic area and stay updated on product knowledge, market pricing, competitor pricing, etc.
  • Leadership: Provide advice on a wide range of issues related to the area of specialization and extend consultation in the specialized area for projects to the leadership team and other teams in the organization.
  • Reporting: Provide regularly any sales report as agreed and ensure all Novartis compliances, procedures, and policies are followed.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achievement of sales revenue and market share targets vs. plan.
  • Achieve Market Share and Market Share Growth in the targeted area/product.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Key accounts relationship maintenance within the assigned territory.
  • Field force efficiency, Product launch Success Rate.
  • Achieve Talent Pipeline Objectives (attract, select, retain, and export).

Requirements:

  • Market Knowledge and Network is desirable.
  • Sales in Healthcare/Pharma/related business.
  • Pre-launch activities.
  • Able to understand changing dynamics of Pharmaceutical industry.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic plans.
  • Strong business acumen and market knowledge.
