About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Wallick Communities. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and comfort in their home.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Personalized Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop strong relationships with residents, families, and staff through open and empathetic communication, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  • Assist with Medication Management: Administer medications as directed by the nurse, and document medication reminders to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Support Activities and Events: Encourage residents to participate in activities and events, promoting socialization and a sense of community.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Assist with lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • CPR Certification: Possess current CPR certification, with Nurse Aide Certification a plus but not required.
  • High School Diploma/GED: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
