Role Overview:
The Field Service Support Technician (FSS) is responsible for providing on-site maintenance and support for our clients' equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and testing of equipment
- Troubleshooting and repairing technical issues
- Addressing user requirements and ensuring optimal system performance
- Managing the loading and unloading of shipments using pallet jacks or hand trucks
- Scanning and uploading data related to incoming shipments
- Setting up applications and configuring Wi-Fi profiles
- Diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues
- Traveling to various locations for IT support
- Serving as a reference point for all related inquiries.
Candidate Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; or relevant industry experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- This position involves working with specific requirements for NY School Districts.
- Ability to install equipment, identify issues, and perform repairs.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a focus on troubleshooting technical challenges.
- Reliable transportation and current vehicle insurance, with the ability to travel for IT support.
- Proficient in computer technologies (Windows, Apple, Chrome, etc.).
- Knowledgeable in both wired and wireless networking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational abilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
