Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute engaging activities programs and manage budgets effectively.
Plan, develop, coordinate, and assess a diverse range of activities throughout the week, including evenings and weekends, while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Formulate and update departmental policies and procedures.Stay informed about facility policies and ensure the Activities Program operates in compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Guarantee adequate staffing by conducting interviews, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising team members. Prepare performance evaluations and manage promotions, transfers, and terminations. Facilitate staff meetings.Oversee and coordinate resident activities and schedules.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation (CTRS) preferred or ADC with a 90-hour foundational education course.
A minimum of two years of experience in social or recreational programming within the last five years, ideally in a long-term care setting.
