Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is actively seeking multiple Senior Test Engineers for a contract role focused on the Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program.


Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be responsible for:

  • Conducting on-site testing operations during dedicated 2nd and 3rd shifts, as well as weekends.
  • Executing test scripts to verify Software, Hardware, and System requirements for Space applications.
  • Utilizing knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, particularly in RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS.
  • Employing programming and scripting skills, along with familiarity with RF test equipment such as Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Power Meters.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must possess:

  • A BS in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics), or a High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant military experience in sensor systems, preferably RADAR, or equivalent defense industry experience.
  • A willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shifts and weekends continuously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and testing.
  • Experience in Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and testing within a clean room environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C or MATLAB for code editing and improvement.
  • Experience in scripting languages like Python or Tcl for script enhancement.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.

Education Requirements:

A High School Diploma is mandatory, and the educational institution must be accredited.


Work Schedule:

This position operates on a 9/80 workweek and is 100% on-site, requiring commitment to dedicated 2nd or 3rd shifts and weekends for an extended period.
