Job Title: Deputy Director of Athletics

About the Role:

The University of Texas Permian Basin's Department of Athletics is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to serve as the Deputy Director of Athletics. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in the overall success of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative leadership to the entire UTPB Athletics Department.
  • Assist the Vice President for Athletics in the overall management, supervision, and leadership of the department.
  • Oversee and provide direct supervision of staff in Athletics departmental functional areas.
  • Work closely with and assist the Vice President for Athletics in the preparation, management, and maintenance of department and program budgets.
  • Represent the university at appropriate Conference, NCAA, and university meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of related experience including professional staff supervisory experience in intercollegiate athletics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with multiple interests in a collegiate setting.
  • Excellent oral, collaborative, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of intercollegiate athletic programs, rules, and regulations.
