About the Role

Pactiv Evergreen is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Turlock Carton Converting Facility in California. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure facility goals and objectives are achieved. Communicate facility goals and objectives to all team members, provide resources and support, and hold regular meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance: Develop and implement effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and reduce maintenance costs. Schedule and plan preventative maintenance, including inspections and repairs, and conduct vibration analysis and infrared scanning to detect potential equipment failures.
  • Equipment Improvement and Capital Projects: Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify opportunities for equipment improvement and capital projects. Facilitate meetings to set priorities and plan equipment improvements, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintenance Inventory and Spare Parts: Manage maintenance inventory and spare parts to ensure availability of critical parts and minimize downtime. Work with the maintenance inventory group to set proper inventory levels and ensure availability of necessary spare parts.
  • Facility Maintenance and Support Equipment: Oversee maintenance of all support equipment, including scheduling and performing maintenance tasks as needed. Collect bids on annual contracts and perform competitive bid analysis to ensure quality workmanship at a competitive price.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance management, with a strong background in preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of maintenance staff.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and squat for extended periods, with the ability to lift 10 pounds or more.
