About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Safety Partners. As an EHS Officer, you will play a critical role in creating, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs for our clients in the life science and high-tech industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customized EHS programs for clients, including hazard communication, biosafety, chemical safety, emergency preparedness, and radiation safety.
  • Conduct job safety analyses for hazardous materials processes and risk assessments to evaluate the proper handling of biological materials.
  • Work with clients' staff to develop a culture of EHS and worker safety by expanding and writing policies, procedures, instructions, and manuals.
  • Coordinate and facilitate safety committees, prepare and deliver training to fulfill regulatory requirements, and maintain complete documentation of all aspects of the EHS program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or chemistry-related field; master's degree or PhD preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting or EHS-related work experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to commute to various locations on a daily basis.
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively with multiple clients and regulatory agencies, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
