We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a valued member of our behavioral health unit, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients with mental health and substance abuse issues.

About the Role

  • Provide psychiatric assessment and referral services (PARS) to patients
  • Assist in patient care with our outpatient partial hospitalization program (PHP)
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team model to deliver comprehensive care
  • Conduct inpatient evaluations, medical evaluations, and provide individual, family, and group therapy as well as outpatient treatment options
  • Care for voluntary and involuntary patients, prioritizing their safety and well-being

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree preferred
  • RN License in the State of NH or valid Compact State
  • BLS (American Heart Association BLS Provider or Red Cross BLS)
