Job Summary:
The University of Rochester seeks a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist II to provide leadership, direction, and counsel to Human Resources Staff. This role will focus on policy, procedures, and programs, complaint and grievance handling, and corrective discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance and support to Human Resources Staff on employee relations issues and concerns.
- Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with HR Staff to resolve employee complaints and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Assist in managing employee relations issues and concerns, including conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirements in employee relations and provide training and guidance to HR Staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in employee relations, HR leadership, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
