Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee our apartment renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in both commercial construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee all phases of renovation construction from inception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, selecting tools, materials, and equipment, and tracking inventory and orders.
  3. Review work progress daily and provide detailed progress reports, including any changes in schedule or budget.
  4. Ensure all on-site personnel adhere to construction safety guidelines and regulations, and maintain a safe and clean job site at all times.
  5. Facilitate on-site problem-solving, including identifying project obstacles and implementing effective solutions.
  6. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists, making operational decisions and adjustments as necessary.
  7. Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the performance of all trades.
  8. Communicate with clients to interpret their needs and requirements, and represent them accurately in the field.
  9. Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites.
  10. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure conformity with project specifications and plans.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically in renovation projects.
  2. Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in both commercial construction and renovation projects.
  3. Demonstrable knowledge of construction and project management principles.
  4. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  5. Excellent knowledge of relevant quality, health, and safety standards.
  6. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  7. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  8. Proven ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  9. Proficient with construction-related software (such as CAD and project management tools).
  10. Certification in construction safety or related area is highly desirable.
Working ConditionsThe job may require frequent evening and weekend work depending on the project's needs.
