Transportation Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Transportation Specialist to join our team at Tippecanoe School Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a motor vehicle in a safe manner, supervising students, and ensuring their safety while boarding, riding, or departing the passenger vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner according to local, state, and federal laws.
- Supervise students while boarding, riding, or departing the passenger vehicle.
- Ensure students are safely placed in custody of teachers, principals, or parents at the beginning or end of each route.
- Report any student who is still in the vehicle to the Transportation Department.
- Perform related work as directed by the Director of Transportation or assigned designee.
Requirements:
- Must be 24 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid Indiana operator's license with a good driving record.
- Must have use of hands, arms, feet, legs, eyes, and ears.
- Must be able to obtain Indiana Department of Education yellow card certification.
- Must be able to obtain a DOE physical examination certificate.
Education: High School diploma, GED, or related experience and training is preferred, but not required.
