Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer I/II to become a vital part of our team. This role focuses on active transportation and roadway design, contributing to projects that prioritize sustainability and community livability. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, particularly in roadway and bikeway design, and will be excited about the opportunity to engage in impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions for quick-build transportation projects.
  • Utilize drafting software such as MicroStation to create detailed construction documents.
  • Engage with city officials to establish project objectives and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of multimodal infrastructure that accommodates all users.
  • Participate in project scope development and concept planning.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil or transportation engineering.
  • 0+ years of experience for Engineer I, 2+ years for Engineer II in transportation facility design.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (MicroStation/AutoCAD).
  • Strong interest in multimodal transportation and active design considerations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Work Environment

This full-time position offers a flexible work schedule of 40 hours per week, with the option to work remotely 2-3 days a week. We value work-life balance and provide our employees with the necessary tools to succeed in a hybrid work environment.
