Job Overview:
Required Qualifications:
• A Master's or Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Experience gained during Ph.D. thesis work may contribute to this requirement. The candidate should have engaged in fluid dynamic and thermal analysis during their academic or professional career.
Technical Expertise:
• (Essential) Proficiency with commercial 3D CFD tools such as STAR CCM+ or ANSYS Fluent is mandatory. Familiarity with 1D fluid dynamics and thermal modeling software like AmeSim or GT-suite is advantageous.
Preferred Knowledge:
• Understanding of drivetrain and hydraulic systems, including components such as clutches, brakes, bevel and planetary gears, pumps, valves, transmission lubrication, and actuation mechanisms would be beneficial. Experience with solid modeling applications like Creo is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills:
• (Essential) Strong collaborative abilities to work effectively with teams including designers, lead engineers, simulation specialists, and software vendors. Persistence and the capability to pose insightful questions to achieve critical analysis objectives. Effective communication skills to convey findings to clients.
