About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Dycom Industries. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop packages to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or data marts.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including relational databases, flat files, APIs, and other data repositories.
  • Optimize package performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high data processing efficiency.
  • Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process.
  • Work closely with data architects, database administrators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and develop data integration solutions that meet business needs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL packages, data workflows, and integration processes.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of ETL packages to identify and resolve any issues or errors.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for production ETL processes and resolve data-related issues as they arise.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on ETL.
  • Expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Proficiency in developing SQL and T-SQL.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and scheduled ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with other data integration tools and technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP data integration concepts is a plus.
  • AWS Glue, Athena is considered a plus but not required.
