Job Title: Credit Manager

At Buddys Home Furnishing, we are seeking a highly skilled Credit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments, and maintaining company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and store collections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire and maintain customers through effective communication and relationship-building
  • Act as a customer liaison to resell the benefits of timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments
  • Assist in managing store personnel, directing activities of one or more employees, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes
  • Decipher, prepare, and review store reports to ensure accurate data and timely decision-making
  • Document all customer commitments and ensure company standards are met
  • Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support and maintain internal quality control standards
  • Manage customer accounts, inventory, and cash assets to ensure efficient store operations
  • Prepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, assign tasks, and enforce company policy
  • Perform all other duties deemed necessary for effective store management
Requirements:
  • Effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Established collection skills to ensure timely payments and maintain customer relationships
  • Good communication skills to effectively interact with employees and customers
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in POS system
  • Maintain professional appearance and communicate effectively in person and over the phone
  • Negotiate and resolve conflict in a professional manner
  • Plan, organize, delegate, coordinate, and follow up on various tasks and assignments
  • Recognize and solve problems to ensure efficient store operations
  • Must have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements
  • Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates
Qualifications:
  • Two years' experience with Rent-to-Own, retail, or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales, and merchandising
  • General physical requirements include lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise pounds, stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required
  • Prolonged driving and standing, and ability to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
