Position Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the care and preparation of surgical patients and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. Responsibilities include the assembly, setup, and operation of surgical instruments and equipment during procedures, as well as passing instruments to the surgeon and their assistants. While most situations are routine, they may quickly escalate to emergent or critical scenarios, requiring both guided and independent decision-making based on the circumstances.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience
  • National certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred
  • Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration is required prior to the start date
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Previous experience is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, as well as paid time off. As mandated by various pay transparency laws, we provide a competitive compensation range for candidates in each position. The pay scale is $45.77 USD. However, compensation is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including skill set, experience level, and certifications or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will align with the appropriate step on the pay scale based on the applicant's years of experience.
