About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of food items, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts
  • Operate kitchen equipment, such as mixers, blenders, and ovens, to measure and mix ingredients
  • Wash, peel, cut, shred, and trim fruits and vegetables, as well as meat, poultry, or fish for culinary use
  • Taste products and read production sheets to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Keep records as needed to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • No prior supervisory or managerial experience required
  • 0-2 years of related work experience in food preparation or a related field
  • No certification requirements
