Job Title: Overnight Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Nurse to join our team at First City Recovery Centers LLC. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver client-centered care under the supervision of the Medical Director, Charge Nurse, and Program Director.
  • Work collaboratively with a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Complete necessary documentation within 24 hours of patient admission, including Admission Note, Nursing Assessment, Pre-Screen Testing, HRS Consent Form, Patient Health Examination, and Criteria for Admission Form (if Detox admit).
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, perform various tasks, including ensuring patient confidentiality, maintaining professional boundaries, and communicating effectively with other staff members.
  • Administer medications as ordered/prescribed by the medical provider, conduct required testing, and monitor behavioral patterns, medical symptoms, and physical symptoms related to dosage.
  • Process point of care urine drug screens, prepare take-home medication, and maintain accurate client records.
Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the appropriate state and maintains current licensure per state requirements.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
  • Detoxification experience preferred.
  • Current (five-years) of no felonies or substance abuse convictions.
  • Required to have a current TB immunization and/or verification incumbent is a rector.
Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of a Graduated from a community college with a Practical Nursing Degree or RN degree.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, preferably in a detox unit and/or inpatient, partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting preferred.
