Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Tempur Sealy. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production department and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Management: Manage and oversee a specific department and team within the production process, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate the team's activities to accomplish established production and safety goals, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Quality Control: Manage and inspect the team's output to ensure quality and accuracy, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production, including time and production records.
  • Training and Development: Train and coach associates to follow and maintain production SOPs, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive relationships with employees, addressing and managing absenteeism and employee performance, and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all employees follow safe work practices, good housekeeping procedures, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend changes or improvements in methods, equipment, handling, or layout to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Scrap and Waste Reduction: Implement strategies to control scrap and waste, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
Requirements
  • Experience: Two years' experience in supervising others and maintaining efficient and productive work groups.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees and all levels of management.
  • Technical Skills: Solid computer skills, including data entry, Excel, and Word, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way, while preserving a sense of urgency and prioritizing tasks effectively.
