About the Role

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Schenectady, NY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic issues, and ensuring our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles is in top condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks
  • Inspect and repair vehicle components
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
