Electrical Systems Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Toyoda Gosei North America Corporation. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of advanced electrical systems for our safety and LED products.

About the Role
  • This position is responsible for providing professional level engineering design and product lifecycle support for our Safety Systems commodity within Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA) and TGNA Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs).
  • You will lead teams to comply with the latest standards and regulations for automotive (ISO26262, ISO21434), survey suppliers to expand localization of electronic components in North America, and certify products.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automotive ECU for HOD, heater, LED mounted on steering wheel products, and manage their suppliers.
  • Create specifications and RFQs for electronic components, requiring thorough understanding of electronics hardware/software and electrical circuit designs.
  • Develop automotive communication (CAN, LIN, CXPI) design/development for various products.
  • Collaborate with internal test groups to create and implement test plans, perform root cause analysis, and develop countermeasures for engineering defects.
  • Maintain engineering documentation such as ADVP&R, DFMEA, timelines, and others.
  • Manage prototype part ordering and tracking, conduct research to benchmark competitors, apply best practices, and innovate TG technology.
  • Provide regular support and communication with global manufacturing plants, customers, and teams.
  • Serve as a mentor and lead to Engineers, presenting new product technologies to OEM customers.
  • Offer project planning and budget management support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience in electrical engineering, preferably 7-15 years.
  • Able to travel outside the US, knowledge of electronics hardware/software and electrical circuits required.
  • Proficiency in CAD software like CATIA V5 and/or UG/NX desired.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills necessary.
Compensation Package

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
