About the Role

The Retention and Success Specialist will play a vital role in supporting student retention in the College of Engineering at Kansas State University. This position will focus on providing support to students who have been historically underserved, including first-generation to college, transfer, and low-income students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day programming for the Multicultural Engineering Program and Global Engineers, including planning events, coordinating student travel, and assisting student groups.
  • Plan and organize events and activities to support first-generation to college, transfer, and low-income students, such as College for a Day and Transfer Visit Day.
  • Collect data, student attendance, and feedback on retention events and programs, and track student visits to the College of Engineering office for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
  • Provide administrative support for the Assistant Dean for Retention, Diversity, and Inclusion, including support for Directlink (transfer student advising) and occasional support with meeting schedules and travel.
