Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Technical Lead will be responsible for managing all aspects of quality assurance in assigned categories, including supplier vetting, product commercialization, specification development, and internal product audits. The successful candidate will have expertise in food technology, flavoring, and food-related microbiology, as well as knowledge of food manufacturing processes and packaging.

Main Responsibilities
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuous improvement, timely issue resolution, and effective communication and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments, such as Culinary, Operations, and Marketing, to provide timely specification and formulation information and work effectively with vendors to meet internal teams' requirements.
• Champion a culture of Food Safety by modeling safe practices and ensuring products are safe for intended restaurant use.
• Direct and manage projects within designated timing and budget parameters, assessing and prioritizing projects based on criticality levels.
• Act as a technical resource, providing expertise for new or revised products, procedures, ingredient presentations, and tastings, pilot and national tests of new ingredients, nutritional content, and product troubleshooting.
• Maintain expertise in HACCP, Food Safety, product withdrawals/recalls, current food/dining trends, nutritional standards, and foodservice manufacturing & technology.

What You Bring to the Team
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Meat Science, Microbiology, or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years in a Supplier Quality/Food Safety focused role, with fast-casual restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead team members and help grow their careers.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team, building cooperative, productive relationships with internal clients and vendors.

About the Role
This is a senior-level position requiring strong leadership and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of food technology, quality assurance, and food safety regulations.
