Position Summary:

The Reltio TechOps team is dedicated to delivering exceptional DevSecOps capabilities and enhancing the developer experience. In this role, you will play a crucial part in scaling our cloud-based services by refining our internal platform, emphasizing automation, and ensuring continuous delivery. You will assist TechOps in establishing clear, time-bound maturity and strategic goals, executing strategies to enhance developer experience and elevate DevSecOps maturity.

As a Senior Engineer - Cloud Platform, you will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in infrastructure management and services for Reltio's cloud solutions, including MDM, RIQ, RDM, and other essential components. You will be actively involved in diagnosing and resolving service reliability challenges related to DevSecOps, including participating in a monthly on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions utilizing tools such as Terraform and Helm Charts to provision and oversee cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, InfoSec, and other stakeholders to define platform requirements, scope, and priorities.
  • Work alongside development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline the software delivery process and ensure high-quality releases.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and cost of our DevOps tools and platforms to guarantee reliability, availability, and scalability.
  • Devise zero downtime maintenance strategies for fleets of Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources.
  • Assess industry trends and recommend new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance our DevOps processes and workflows.
  • Mentor junior platform engineers, providing guidance and support to foster their growth and development.
  • Act as a force multiplier for engineers and development teams by offering expert advice on integrating with the internal platform, best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with security teams to incorporate security controls and best practices into our DevOps processes and infrastructure.
  • Document technical designs, procedures, and configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain system integrity.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the TechOps team and across the organization.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role, with a robust background in software development and infrastructure operations.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with declarative management tools (Terraform).
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, ArgoCD).
  • Full-Stack Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across the entire stack, from the network layer through Kubernetes to the OS level.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Process Improvement: Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement DevOps best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Monitoring and Logging: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or Open Telemetry.
  • Security Knowledge: Understanding of security best practices and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Agile DevOps Experience: Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices in a dynamic environment.
