Le Responsable des Infirmiers est chargé de l'évaluation, de la coordination, de la mise en œuvre et de l'évaluation de la prestation de soins centrés sur le patient, sûrs et efficaces.
De plus, le Responsable des Infirmiers évaluera en continu les besoins de l'unité pour garantir des ressources adéquates pour les quarts actuels et à venir en collaborant avec d'autres départements, cliniques et non cliniques, pour coordonner les admissions, transferts et sorties des patients en temps opportun.
Le Responsable des Infirmiers agira en tant que liaison avec les médecins pour l'unité.Enfin, le Responsable des Infirmiers fera preuve de professionnalisme en tout temps et respectera les normes de pratique en tenant les membres de l'équipe responsables de leur conformité continue.

Inclut le patient et la famille dans tous les aspects de la gestion de la douleur par le biais d'une éducation continue sur la douleur, l'évaluation, le traitement et les obstacles courants à une gestion adéquate.
Coordonne et supervise les soins aux patients selon les besoins.Formule un plan d'enseignement basé sur les besoins d'apprentissage identifiés et évalue l'efficacité de l'apprentissage. La famille est incluse dans l'enseignement si nécessaire.
La documentation respecte les normes et politiques actuelles.
Fait preuve de capacité à effectuer des traitements et à fournir des services dans le cadre de la pratique.
Communique de manière appropriée et claire avec tous les membres de l'équipe de soins de santé.
Consulte d'autres départements si nécessaire pour fournir une approche interdisciplinaire aux besoins du patient.

Assure que la communication de transfert a lieu chaque fois qu'il y a un changement de soignants sur l'unité pendant le quart et au début/à la fin des quarts.
Délègue des tâches au personnel de soutien non licencié comme le prévoit la réglementation de l'État et les politiques de l'établissement, selon la situation clinique.
Aide à surveiller la performance, les comportements et la compétence du personnel pour les évaluations de performance.
Assure que toutes les précautions et procédures de contrôle des infections sont suivies dans le département.
