Job Summary

The Clinical Nutrition and Lactation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Nutrition department at the Children's Hospital of Orange County. This includes managing clinical nutrition patient care and consultation duties, as well as supervising a team of clinical dietitians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of clinical nutrition policies and procedures
  • Supervise and mentor a team of clinical dietitians to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical nutrition research and best practices
Requirements
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience as a clinical dietitian in an acute care setting
  • Leadership experience as a clinical nutrition lead or supervisor
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • California Children's Services (CCS) panel-eligible
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical experience in a pediatric acute care setting
  • Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP), Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Critical Care (CSPCC), Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (CLEC), and/or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC)
Work Environment

The Clinical Nutrition and Lactation Supervisor will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Lifting (Floor to waist level) - Constant 67 or more%
