Position Overview:
The primary goal of this role is to effectively plan, organize, and execute the assembly of steel structures, including columns, braces, and beams, with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpret and analyze structural detail drawings accurately.
2. Understand and apply standard welding symbols.
3. Fit a variety of components such as columns, beams, and braces for manufacturing.
4. Organize work processes for optimal efficiency.
5. Adhere to quality control standards.
6. Demonstrate proficiency in producing acceptable fillet welds across three processes and full penetration welds in two processes.
7. Lead the fabrication team in the absence of supervisory staff.
8. Support quality control inspections as needed.
9. Mentor junior fitters.
10. Operate both machine and hand burning tools.
11. Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
12. Perform any additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fabrication.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Physical capability to bend, lift, and twist as required.
- Strong mathematical skills.
