Principal Satellite Resource Optimization Lead

This is a critical leadership role that will shape the future of Kuiper's capacity simulations and inventory optimization. As a Principal Scientist, you will be responsible for defining the long-term technical roadmap and developing strategies to optimize satellite resource usage. Your expertise in operations research, machine learning, and optimization modeling will be essential in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced optimization models to simulate satellite resource usage
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable solutions for capacity simulations and inventory optimization
- Analyze large datasets to identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven recommendations
- Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) in Operations Research, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in solving complicated problems in the area of Operations Management or similar disciplines developing strategies for large-scale logistic networks
- Hands-on experience in building machine learning or optimization models in a business environment
- Production coding experience in an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, C++ etc.
Salary Range:$179,000 - $309,400 per year, based on location.
Total Compensation Package:Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation available.
