About the Role
IDB Invest is seeking a seasoned Executive to fill the position of Chief Regions Officer. This role will be responsible for driving the regions' financial performance, ensuring alignment with IDB Group priorities, and overseeing a team of Regional Managing Directors and country representatives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the IDB Invest business plan, ensuring its strategic alignment with IDB Group objectives.
- Maintain relationships with governments and private sector clients, promoting business development and growth.
- Provide guidance and oversight to the Regional Managing Directors, supporting their strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities.
- Oversee business performance from a regional perspective, working closely with the Delivery Units.
- Define countries' priorities and strategies, establishing upstream work and identifying opportunities for synergy with IDB and IDB Lab.
- Manage resources for the Regions Department, including operational, human, capital, and budgetary resources.
Requirements:
- At least 15 years of relevant experience as a banker with a proven business track record, significant experience in the countries where IDB Invest operates, and strong market and private sector company relationships in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Master's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or another relevant field.
- Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank's official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is required.
- There are no citizenship requirements.
- Consanguinity: No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
What We Offer:
IDB Invest provides a competitive remuneration package, including attractive cash compensation, performance-based variable pay, robust insurance coverage, and a pension plan. We believe in rewarding talent and ensuring our employees feel valued and supported in all aspects of their professional journey.
We offer a staff contract, initially 36 months, renewable upon mutual agreement.
