Job Title: CTE Curriculum & Instruction Coordinator

The role of the CTE Curriculum & Instruction Coordinator is to provide strategic support and coaching to CTE teachers in the Skilled Trades & Workforce Readiness areas. The primary focus is on developing curriculum pathways, embedding industry certifications, and enhancing student success in Career and Technical Education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CTE teachers to develop and implement curriculum pathways that align with industry standards
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to support teacher effectiveness and student success
  • Work with school administrators to develop and implement strategies to enhance student outcomes in CTE programs
  • Facilitate the attainment of industry credentials for students through partnerships with local businesses and industry partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and effectiveness

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Familiarity with NC Standard Course of Study for CTE and industry standards
  • Strong project planning and team building skills
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Time management and organizational abilities

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in CTE or Curriculum Instructional Specialist
  • Five years of teaching experience in CTE or a related field
  • Leadership experience in education or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in CTE or a related field
  • Experience in workforce readiness or skilled trades
  • Previous instructional coaching or team supervision experience

Special Requirements

  • Current CTE or curriculum instructional specialist license
  • Eligible for CTE 830 curriculum and instructional management coordinator license
