Responsibilities
  • Identify and recruit program participants for FutureSkills-related programs in the Metro North region.
  • Deliver comprehensive case management services to individuals enrolled in FutureSkills.
  • Outline the procedures for accessing Career Center services, including career planning, job development, labor market information, training opportunities, partner services, and referrals.
  • Assist clients with resume review and development, cover letter review and development, job search strategies, labor market information, job referrals, and referrals to additional partner services.
  • Develop customized needs analysis and employment plans, including goal setting.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, employing a customer-centric approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Obtain relevant information through interviewing and observing individuals.
  • Provide constructive feedback and offer an objective perspective as clients evaluate their options or transition careers.
  • Support clients through significant life changes, facilitating decision making and goal setting, including referrals to partners, training, TRADE, Section 30, and ITA processes.
  • Stay abreast of state-of-the-art career assessments and administer and interpret them as necessary.
  • Research labor market trends and current workplace issues.
  • Demonstrate sound decision-making skills in high-stress situations.
  • Present job search and career transition workshops.
  • Inform clients about relevant Career Center services, follow up on previous services, assess the success of prior services, update information, and offer additional services.
  • Enter relevant client data timely and accurately, adhering to MOSES entry policies.
  • Maintain contact with a large caseload of clients within 30 days via phone, email, and personal appointments.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Career Center partners.
