Position: Carryout / To-Go Specialist

The individual in this role will oversee the carryout station, ensuring seamless communication with kitchen staff to deliver an outstanding experience for our takeout customers. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, managing phone orders, assisting with menu selections, verifying order accuracy, packaging orders, and addressing customer inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome all carryout customers.
• Process phone, online, and delivery orders while ensuring accuracy.
• Respond to phone inquiries using company guidelines in a friendly manner.
• Input orders into the kitchen system accurately and efficiently.
• Estimate pickup times for customers.
• Package food and beverage orders, including condiments, promptly and accurately.
• Ensure timely preparation of items according to cafe standards.
• Engage professionally with customers to assess their needs and assist with menu choices.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including all forms of payment.
• Maintain safe food and beverage handling practices.
• Address customer service issues promptly and escalate to management when necessary.
• Prepare sauce bottles and stock for service.
• Assemble catering orders for customers.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks to keep the area organized and tidy.
• Complete other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance in the company-approved uniform.
• Ability to operate the P.O.S. system and handle transactions accurately.
• Proficient in reading menu items and communicating in English.
• Capable of reaching, bending, and performing cleaning tasks.
• Possess professional phone skills and the ability to hear clearly in a busy environment.
• Able to carry trays and supplies, assist with restocking, and perform detailed cleaning.
• Effectively communicate guest needs to team members, including bussers, hosts, and management.
