The Event Security team is responsible for ensuring the arena is a secure and enjoyable space for everyone. As an Event Security Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Upholding security directives and ensuring the safety and security of our venues' guests, employees, and assets.
  • Screening guests using metal detecting wands and bag checking.
  • Verifying credentials to control access to restricted areas.
  • Working cooperatively with venue staff and local police.
  • Interacting with guests in a polite and professional manner, providing accurate event and venue information.
  • Enforcing facility policies and procedures related to prohibited items and disruptive behavior.
  • Being knowledgeable about the arena's emergency evacuation plan to safely assist guests in case of an emergency.

As a member of our Event Security team, you will be expected to maintain a positive attitude, work a flexible schedule, and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred.
  • You must love working with and helping people.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude while handling difficult situations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as required for specific shift requirements.
  • Ability to listen effectively, take and execute directions, as given.
  • General neat and presentable appearance.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment to diffuse volatile situations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to traverse a variety of terrain and floor surfaces, including stairs, carpet, concrete.
  • Ability to work in darkened areas, around crowds, loud noises, and flashing lights.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced environments and stressful situations.
  • Ability to work outside, in adverse weather conditions, as needed.
  • Prior security experience is helpful.
