Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy and angiography, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and angiography machines, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • ARRT and TMB certifications required.
  • Candidate must possess certification in BLS.
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

This is a 13-week contract position, working Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with call requirements applicable on weekdays from 4:00 PM to 7:30 AM and weekends from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Unit Information:

  • Unit 727 is a Special Procedures unit.
  • Staffing includes 2 IR techs and 1 IR RN during the day shift, and on-call staff during the night shift.
  • Patient ratios are 1:1.
  • Type of equipment used: Philips.
  • EMR in use is Meditech.
