Job Summary:

The Field Customer Service Engineer serves as the primary point of contact for technical and service-related issues on a wide range of industrial equipment. This role involves diagnosing electronic, mechanical, and software failures, using established procedures provided by our service training department. The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment, determining the most cost-effective repair or resolution to minimize customer downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial products, including printing and packaging equipment, cash recycling products, and robotics.
  • Schedule and perform regular predictive/preventive maintenance inspections on equipment.
  • Manage parts inventory, customer service calls, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Foster positive customer relations and a high degree of customer satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and other departments/functions of the company.
  • Provide on-call level of service for emergency customer assistance, responding to emergency and non-scheduled calls for service within established response time goals.
Requirements:
  • High School degree or equivalent with 2-year degree or diploma in electronics/advanced mechanics/software training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong electronics and mechanical background, understanding of computer program functionality, and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment, use standard and specialized hand, power, and diagnostic tools, and lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to work in small, cramped areas, elevated environments, and maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Travel:
This position requires minimal travel in the United States and Canada for training and other requirements. Local travel time could be greater than 50% for field-related activities.
