Job Title: Director of Procurement

DSJ Global is partnering exclusively with Princeton University to find a highly skilled Director of Procurement. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of professionals and drive strategic procurement initiatives across the organization.

Job Summary

The Director of Procurement will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the university's goals and objectives. This includes managing a team of procurement professionals, developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the university's goals and objectives
  • Manage a team of procurement professionals, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, including negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, including internal and external audits
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure the performance of the procurement department
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPM or CPSM certification
  • Experience with eProcurement tools and SRM
  • Experience with large capital project portfolios and complex contracts
  • Experience with joint venture agreements and dispute resolution
