We are currently in search of a highly organized and experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to lead the operations of our aluminum distribution center. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing warehouse personnel, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining precise inventory records, and facilitating the timely distribution of aluminum products. The Warehouse Manager will also implement and uphold safety standards, optimize space utilization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Oversight: Manage daily warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate daily activities to align with business demands and customer expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory documentation and conduct regular physical counts. Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure sufficient inventory. Implement and manage inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including conducting performance evaluations and fostering professional development. Create a positive and productive work environment that promotes clear communication and teamwork. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Safety Management: Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and conducting regular audits and training sessions for warehouse staff. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs. Utilize warehouse management software and other tools to streamline processes. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to meet performance objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role within a distribution or logistics setting.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the warehousing sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
