We are currently in search of a highly organized and experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to lead the operations of our aluminum distribution center. The successful candidate will oversee warehouse personnel, ensure operational efficiency, maintain precise inventory records, and guarantee the timely distribution of aluminum products. The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for enforcing safety standards, optimizing space utilization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Oversight: Manage daily warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate daily activities to align with business demands and customer expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical counts. Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the purchasing department to maintain adequate inventory. Implement inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, conducting performance evaluations and fostering professional development. Promote a positive work environment with clear communication and teamwork. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for warehouse personnel. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and reduce costs. Utilize warehouse management software and other tools to streamline operations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to meet performance objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a comparable role within a distribution or logistics setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the warehousing sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
