Role Overview

Axiom Path is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for leading the review, management, and investigation of DLP alerts, providing strategic oversight for the detection and escalation of data protection incidents, and refining and implementing DLP rulesets to enhance overall DLP effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the review, management, and investigation of DLP alerts to ensure timely and effective incident response.
  • Provide strategic oversight for the detection and escalation of data protection incidents to minimize risk and impact.
  • Refine and implement DLP rulesets to enhance overall DLP effectiveness and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and update operational runbooks and incident response procedures to ensure seamless execution of cybersecurity operations.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to align DLP strategies with broader security initiatives and ensure a cohesive approach to data protection.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data loss prevention, data classification, or data protection, with a preference for healthcare environments.
  • Proficient with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems and scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC.
  • Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security technologies.
